Back to School Night!

 Dear Parents,

   Please join us on Tuesday, August 30th for an informational meeting.  This night is a collaborative effort to keep each other informed about your child.  Please make arrangements to attend.  We will be meeting from 6:00-7:00 in our classroom, room #1121.

What a great first day of school!

I hope that your children came home talking about all of the things we did today!  I had so much fun getting to know everyone.  Just a few things to be looking for:

• Look for a manila envelope in your child's backpack full of school forms for you to fill out and complete.  Please return them in the same folder that is labeled with your child's name. 
• Also, I sent home their Writer's Notebooks with a letter on how they can decorate and personalize them.  Notebooks are due back by this Friday, August 26th.  Please return in the plastic bag it was sent home in.  Also, if there is anyone who would like to volunteer to cover them in clear contact paper, please email me and let me know : o )

I'm looking forward to a great Tuesday in our classroom!

Meet the Teacher...

Wow!  Meet the teacher was so much fun!  I loved getting to meet each of you and learn a little bit more about you.  We are going to have lots of learning adventures together : o )
On Monday you will find out:

• What a rain stick is and what to do when you hear it.

• What is power teaching?
• Who is Monster Momma?

So be sure to be at school bright and early so that we can find out the answers to these questions and much, much more!

Welcome to Third Grade!

I am so excited to be teaching third grade this year! We are going to have fun learning together and creating a classroom community. I love technology and use it in my classroom whenever I can. If you have a link or site that is your favorite please share it with me.
