it made me feel sad when brad had his accident, at first i thought he was going to be OK but i was sad because he was hurt.i thought he was going to be alright when he gets back home but he died at the hospital.
I have read Fig Pudding each year that I have taught. The first year I read it to my kids I cried something awful! We were all passing kleenex and sniffling! I still get choked up when I read it. The family goes through a lot, but because they love each other they survive it. If you have noticed the story starts at Christmas time and ends at Christmas time...keep an eye out for what happens to the Christmas cactus in the story : o )
