The reason the sun is so hot, is because in the center of the sun, hydrogen is being made into helium. Simply, hydrogen atoms are squeezed together by the sun's high gravity to make helium. That process gives off lots and lots of energy. That's why the sun's temperature is 9950 Fahrenheit.

The diameter of the sun is 870000 miles. That's 109 times the diameter of the Earth.

Earth does not have a twin. Space probes have been sent to the other side of the sun and no other planets were found.

There are 172 moons in our solar system.
Mercury 0 moons
Venus 0 moons
Earth 1 moons
Mars 2 moons
Jupiter 64 moons
Saturn 62 moons
Uranus 27 moons
Neptune 12 moons
Pluto 4 moons

Also, some of the asteroids have moons, but I'm not counting those
